It’s been quite the journey since I’ve moved to Minnesota. I knew I had to get myself back in the game, or else I’d be taunted daily by the boxes of photography gear.

To get my name out in my new community, I felt the best way was to reach out to my local mom group (which is quite an awesome group of women, I might add). I’ve been so overwhelmed with how wonderful everyone has been—and how amazing it was to, only a month into our new life, have the opportunity to get back into the game.

One of the first families I photographed was a newly formed family of four. Baby sister had just arrived! It was heartwarming to see how mom was adjusting to life with two…and little did I know, it was giving me some much-needed insight into my future life.
