This is no secret: I’m self-taught.
I picked up a DSLR four year ago, turned it on, and loved it. Sure, I shot in auto with a kit lens, and hadn’t the foggiest idea of what I was doing, but I loved taking pictures. It was a big switch from being the model to the photographer, and I still have a lot to learn…
And I’ll be the first to admit that. I can only “self-teach” so much.
Newborn photography is, quite possibly, my favorite. There’s something so surreal and breathtaking about a brand-new life! I wanted to give myself the opportunity to learn from one of the best, so I decided to invest in a one-on-one mentoring session with Tracy at Memories by TLC.
I won’t go into a ton of details–but, I will say I learned some invaluable lessons, and I’m so incredibly glad I took this step. Not only is Tracy an amazingly talented photographer, but she’s so fun to be around–I’d love to by a fly on the wall in her studio any day!
