I’ve been quiet for a month or so…I was, of course, playing catch up with a lot of family and holiday sessions I had (so, lots of blog posts to come showcasing those awesome images in the upcoming weeks).
But, it’s been a busy month+ around here. As you may or may not know, I work full-time outside of photography–so, that’s always my number one priority. I have an awesome little office space tucked away in my basement (right where I hold my newborn shoots, too!). I spend my regular “office hours” down here…normally freezing my toosh off (have I ever mentioned how cold it is in Minnesota? and hanging out in a basement in the winter in Minnesota…that’s asking to be cold). I often reserve my evening hours after my son goes to bed for catching up on photography…After spending all day in my basement dungeon office, I return for some more cold induced torture fun 😉
Once November rolled around though, I was finding myself making the trip down here less and less in the evenings. Instead? I was finding myself curled up on the couch, rocking back in forth in the fetal position, trying to avoid making another trip to the bathroom. TMI?
Well, I was (and am!) dealing with a whopper of a case of morning sickness (or should I say 4pm to 3am sickness?)!!! That’s right…there’s a baby on board, and it’s really giving me a run for my money. And, despite this being baby #2, this pregnancy is a whole new experience for me. I didn’t have morning sickness with my first, so this has been quite the field trip for me. And, unfortunately, despite heading into my second trimester already, there’s been no easing up on the morning sickness! But, it’s worth it 😉
And, to top it all off, this toddler of mine keeps bring home the plague from preschool. And sharing it. We’re on round #2 of croup in 6 weeks. And whatever it is that he so kindly shared with me this time has taken up residency in my chest, and provided me with a cough that rivals those of lifelong smokers. What I wouldn’t give for some Musinex and NyQuil 🙁 #pregnancyproblems
Obviously, this puts me about a month behind in announcing my Photo Challenge WINNERS!! I am still in awe over how many awesome participates the challenge had. It was so fun to see how different people interpreted the daily challenge, and it was beyond enjoyable to follow the posts on Facebook and Instagram.
So, without further adieu!….the winners of the #RFPhotoChallenge are Marianne McNamara (local shoot!) and Stephanie Frank (print of choice!).
Ladies, feel free to send me a message on Facebook to arrange to claim your prizes 😉
