Some times, it feels like things come full circle. This is one of those times.

Luke was one of the first friends I made in North Carolina. We met at work— coworkers with the same job title— and quickly became pals. I lent a helping hand coordinating their day-of wedding activities at there wedding three years ago. Then I had my son. And now they will soon be welcoming their daughter. In just a few short years, we’ve somehow become adults…responsible adults. With babies. It’s been so fun to watch us move through important life stages—a far cry from the early days of drinking beer and playing Apples to Apples.

This was, hands down, one of my favorite shoots ever! I don’t remember being half as adventurous as Kathryn was when I was seven months pregnant…Heck, I’m not half as adventurous as she is now. I had a few ideas in my head, and we were able to cross almost all of them off of the list. I could have kept shooting for hours–but, the sun left…and there was pizza calling our names.
